Lent Vestments

Lent is kept in violet, with rose on Laetare, the fourth Sunday. Some Anglican parishes keep the older Sarum custom of an unbleached Lenten array in place of violet.

This collection gathers our violet and rose chasubles, stoles, cassock robes, dalmatic and chalice veil for the season, several of them embroidered with signs of the Passion: the crown of thorns, the cross and the Chi-Rho.
