Choose Made to Measure on the product page, enter your measurements and any details in the boxes provided, and place your order. Payment is taken at checkout like any other order. If we need anything further after you order, such as an extra measurement, we email you before work begins; otherwise we make the garment to the measurements you entered.

Yes, and it is common for ordinations and jubilees. For a chasuble or a stole, the wearer's height and chest measurement are usually enough. For a cassock or a habit we would rather wait for a full set of measurements than guess — ask us and we will send a discreet measurement form you can pass on.

Yes. Tell us which fabrics and colours you are choosing between and we will send swatches. Colour on a screen is a promise nobody can keep, and for a set that has to match existing vestments it is worth the wait. See the fabric guide.

Yes. Purchase orders, quotations and consolidated invoicing are all straightforward — see trade and parish orders.

Send the garment back and we will adjust the fit free of charge; you pay the postage. If the mistake is ours, we pay the postage both ways.

Measure over whatever you will actually wear underneath. An alb measured over a bare chest and then worn over a cassock is the single most common cause of a poor fit we see. The sizing guide says which garments this matters for.

Often, yes. Measure the old garment flat and send us the numbers and photographs, including the back and the trim. It is frequently the fastest and most accurate route, particularly for chasubles.

Made-to-measure orders are dispatched within 5 to 7 days, the same as standard sizes. Delivery then takes 10 to 15 days to the United States, or up to 21 days elsewhere. If an item cannot be dispatched in that time, we email you within 24 hours of your order with the expected delivery date. See shipping and delivery.

Chasubles are made in satin, with an orphrey in satin or velvet depending on the design. Dalmatics and chalice veils are satin. Stoles are made in satin, velvet, cotton or brocade (damask). Cassocks and clergy shirts are cotton, and religious habits are cotton or wool. Each product page names the cloth used for that piece, and the fabric guide explains how different cloths behave.

Each product page describes the embroidery on that piece. Machine embroidery is precise, repeatable and far less expensive; hand work has a depth machine work does not, and costs accordingly. We will never describe one as the other, and we do not call a piece hand-embroidered unless that has been confirmed.

Yes. Anglican and Episcopal, Lutheran, Methodist, Orthodox and Eastern Catholic use, and independent and non-denominational ministry. Terminology, cut and colour usage differ between them, sometimes considerably, so tell us which tradition a garment is for and we will make it that way rather than assume.

The liturgical colour guide sets out the seasons and where traditions differ. If your parish keeps a local use — Sarum, a diocesan custom, a founder's colour — tell us and we will follow it.

Describe it, or send a photograph. The glossary covers the usual names, but no glossary covers every tradition's vocabulary and we would rather learn your term than correct it.

Payment is by card, taken securely at checkout; the options available to you are shown there before you pay. Prices are shown and charged in United States dollars (USD) only. If your card is in another currency, your bank converts the amount at its own rate.

For substantial parish and trade commissions, yes — usually part on order and the balance before dispatch. It is set out in the quotation, and there are no charges in it you have not seen in writing first.

We ship worldwide. Enter your address at checkout to see the cost and the options for it.

Not on orders to the United States, the United Kingdom or Europe: customs duties and import taxes, including VAT, on those orders are paid by us, so you pay nothing on delivery. Elsewhere, depending on your country's trade laws, local customs clearance fees and import taxes may apply and are payable on arrival. Yes, within 30 days of delivery, provided it is unworn and unwashed. You pay the return postage and any customs charges on the return, and we refund the price of the garment once it reaches us. If you would rather have the fit adjusted, we do that free of charge and you pay the postage. If we made it wrong, we put it right and pay the postage both ways. See returns and exchanges.

There are none yet, because there are no orders old enough to have earned them. When reviews appear they will be from people who bought the garment. We do not buy, invent or import reviews, and we do not run fake scarcity or invented discounts either.
