From there a vine of roses and gold rosettes climbs down the column to a rose-pink band at the hem.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe front follows the same order on a smaller scale: stars at the collar, three roses inside a radiant sunburst, and a rose vine with gold rosettes running to the rose-pink band at the hem. The orphreys are edged in gold-coloured braid, and the outer hem and sleeves are bound with a woven gold trim.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003ch2\u003eLiturgical use\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe green is the orphrey; the vestment is ivory, so it belongs to the white class. It is made first for the \u003cstrong\u003eFeast of Our Lady of Guadalupe\u003c\/strong\u003e (12 December), Patroness of the Americas, and for the other Marian solemnities and feasts. Being white-class, it is also correct at Christmas, at Easter and on any day that calls for white.
