The veil is laid over the chalice with the Chi Rho to the front.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch2\u003eCloth and finish\u003c\/h2\u003e\u003cp\u003eGreen satin with a soft sheen that takes candlelight without glaring under it. The square is finished so it hangs straight rather than curling at the corners, and the gold work stands raised against the ground, which is what keeps it legible from the nave instead of reading as a flat patch of yellow.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch2\u003eSize\u003c\/h2\u003e\u003cp\u003eThree squares: 18 in, 20 in and 24 in on each side.
